Taking a Lifestyle approach to every Hopkinton (& beyond) senior photo session

If you have seen my lifestyle family work, you know that I love to show JOY in my families. Taking this same approach to every Hopkinton senior photo session, I will capture the perfectly posed moment for your senior, but the main focus will be on capturing more fun, authentic and editorial moments that are both prompted by me and dictated by the location. Head Shot for the Hopkinton Yearbook

Every senior session includes the traditional yearbook photo. Most yearbooks have similar criteria and we make sure we nail that shot every single time!

Power Shot

To me, the power shot is all about the angle; both the angle that I take the shot at and the angles that I pose the seniors at.

For the boys, they want to look powerful and often that requires me to get low to make them look taller, more powerful. Maybe that makes having them look away from the camera or somethings stare directly into my lens without smiling.

For the ladies, often that means “stretching” their bodies out. Think modeling poses, bended knees. It could also mean incorporating a prop or using light in a fun and unique way!

Lots of Movement

If you have followed my work at all, you know that I will always encourage movement in all of my sessions. This includes all seniors. Whether we skip, jump, play ball, walk with our hands in pockets, strike a model pose, click heels. There will be movement.

Playful & Candid Senior Photos

Those in between moments. The expressions that are made that make you who you are. The serene and quiet moments maybe. Or perhaps the laughter after we make a quick joke. You often don’t even know that I am taking the photos, but trust me, I am clicking away. These photos make your parents smile and are always the ones that elicit the “you captured my (son/daughter) just how I see them.” I just adore that response when I take senior photos in Hopkinton.

In Your Element

For any of you who have a specific interest or passion, let’s incorporate that into your session. If you love a sport, we can add on a sports mini session or simply bring a ball to your session that we can toss around. Maybe you play the guitar; let’s strum it during a quiet moment. Are you a book worm? Maybe we can meet for part of your session at a favorite book store! I love incorporating your passion into senior sessions. Don’t be afraid to ask.

There are so many amazing locations — truly, we can find something that matches who you are. From the wild flowers fields, to a beach, to the city. Maybe you have a special love for your truck and want to take some pictures with it. Working with you to find magical places that match who you are and have beautiful light is my speciality.
