Almost every time we post photos of our kids, we as mamas are the ones taking them. They are our pride and joy, our sunshine and our rain. But when these kids get bigger, they want to see your face in these images. Remember how you looked at them, the simple touches of motherhood which will be cherished.
When I think of my kids, I instantly want to cuddle them. A big huge family cuddle and there’s nothing more simple and heartwarming. When a mama looks at this image, I want her to be able to smell the smell of each child, remember the texture of their hair, the sweet way their nose scrunches.
The way you look at your child. The way they look at you. These are things you don’t get the privilege of seeing every day. These are moments that should be captured. Honestly, I look at my moments when I am sad, lonely and simply OVER parenting — , looking at these moments, remembering the love.
Let’s face it, unless it’s a selfie, you probably haven’t had a photo taken of you and your special person in years — perhaps since you were married! I love to end most of my sessions with a photo of the two of you!
The little wrinkles of a scrunched up face. The way a newborn baby grabs mama’s fingers. Eyelashes. Freckles. Knobby Knees. I am here for all of it!
I don’t know about your family, but my boys either absolutely love each other or absolutely hate each other. There isn’t much in between. I love to capture the playful moments, letting kids be kids.
